Opening at The St Austin’s Theatre, Wakefield from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th May 2012.
Jack Chesney and Charley Wyckeham are undergraduates at Oxford University in love, respectively, with Kitty Verdun and Amy Spettigue. The girls are invited round for an evening of romance and wooing under the supervision of Charley’s Aunt, Donna Lucia. But when the boys find out that Donna will not be there, who will they find to play the part of Charley’s Aunt? Join the Players for an fun promised evening with this comic farce by Brandon Thomas. Tickets will be available from April 2012.

Following our success in the 2010 Wakefield Drama Festival, St Austin’s Players have been successfully chosen to compete in the 2012 Festival. In 2010 the Players entered the Festival with ‘Death by Fatal Murder’. The play was well received and upon adjudication, Keith Lowe won the Best Actor Award. In 2012, the players will be performing their latest show, Charley’s Aunt. The Festival consists of ‘7 Plays in 7 Days’ and will run from the 3rd to 9th June 2012. If you wish to support us in this Festival, you will be able to purchase tickets directly from the Theatre Royal Wakefield web site in the next few months. More information soon.
